This page contains important Chromebook information and resources for families.


All students in Royal Oak Schools have the option of using a district-issued Chromebook throughout their time in the district. Chromebooks are for students’ educational use at home and at school. There is no cost to families to receive a Chromebook. Parents/guardians are required to complete a form prior to receiving a Chromebook agreeing to district technology policies and practices. The form is linked at the bottom of this page.

If you need technical assistance, please visit the Chromebook FAQ for Families. If your issue persists, please contact the Oakland Schools Service Desk one of three ways. The Service Desk is for use by guardians and school personnel only; it is not for student use.

  • Create a Ticket: Log into the Service Desk system here to create a ticket.
  • Start a Chat Session: Start a Chat Session by accessing the Service Desk Request page here. A link to start a chat will appear in the lower right corner of the screen during normal business hours (Monday - Friday, 7AM - 6PM).
  • Call the Service Desk: Call 248-209-2060 during normal business hours (Monday - Friday, 7AM - 6PM).
