Royal Oak Schools is hosting a career fair open to the public on Wednesday, August 10, to fill support-level jobs at its 9 schools.
From 2 - 6 p.m., job seekers are invited to come in and have a chance to interview and get conditional offers for jobs pending the outcome of background checks.
The event is being held at the Royal Oak Schools Administrative Offices on 800 DeVillen in Royal Oak.
Many of the positions available will include benefits.
"The Royal Oak Schools job fair will streamline the application process and make it as simple as possible for those interested in working with us. Job descriptions will be available for all open positions and attendees will be able to initiate the employment application process on-site. Contingent offers of employment may be made at the event," said Executive Director for Staff and Students Services, Patrick Wolynski.
The district is hiring child care assistants, Latchkey assistants, substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, food service workers, bus drivers, custodians, and more.
Part-time and full-time jobs are available.
Representatives from Royal Oak Schools, Durham School Services, ABM Industries, and Chartwells School Dining Services will be onsite for interviews.
