Recently, Lawrence Tech visited TRAILS, specifically, the Marburger STEM Center at the university.
The purpose behind the trip was to provide an exciting and engaging workshop for the TRAILS students to increase their STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) learning.
Jay Jessen, the Assistant Director of the Marburger STEM Center, visited to complete a project with the students that involved created paper circuits that could light up an LED light bulb.
LTU has been working with several community partners (schools included) to develop more work-based and CTE learning workshops in addition to the more traditional STEM/STEAM workshops they already deliver.
The next TRAILS workshop will have the students making their own lava lamps which they will be able to take home.
