Exciting news from Royal Oak Middle School!
Seventh grader Adriana Alexander has earned two “Best of Show” honors at the 58th Michigan Student Film Festival, placing her work among the top selections out of more than 460 entries from across the state.
Her powerful films Fish for the Future and If the Detroit River Could Sing were selected for showcase at the Detroit Institute of Arts on April 18, highlighting her creative voice and commitment to storytelling through film.
This achievement reflects not only Adriana’s talent and vision, but also the importance of youth perspectives in addressing environmental and community themes. We are incredibly proud of her outstanding work and recognition on such a respected stage.
