BEGINNING SOON - ROMS YMCA After School Care
The South Oakland YMCA soon will offer after-school care on-site at ROMS. The start date is to be determined, but the YMCA is hoping to begin on April 25, at the latest. If you are a family looking for a high-quality program after the school day for your child, review the information below.

After school care will run from 2:50-6 PM
There is a $100 non-refundable registration fee per family.
After-school care will cost $12/day.

ROMS Patio Beautification Project. ROMS staff and students are looking to beautify a patio outside of the cafeteria that will allow students to have lunch outside on nice days. We are looking for a donation of items, to borrow a few items, and to find volunteers to make this happen. Date is April 20, at 3:00 PM, with a rain date on April 21, at 3:00 PM.

ROMS Legacy Day fundraiser
A ROMS Legacy Day group of students, along with their adult sponsor, asked that I pass this charity opportunity on to the community. If you are looking for a worthy cause, read on: "For our 8th Grade ROMS Legacy Project, our group, under the supervision and support of Ms. Jessica Quinn, ROMS teacher, has chosen to set up a GoFundMe campaign to donate to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). ROMS PTSA
The Royal Oak Middle School PTSA is a partnership of families, teachers, students, and community members dedicated to helping our students have the best educational experience possible. Our meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month. Our next meeting is remote this evening (4/18/22) at 7 pm.
Family involvement is important at the middle school level and we have many ways that you can volunteer (by joining the PTSA, volunteering at events or becoming a chairperson)! By working together, the PTSA can provide support and activities for the students and teachers of ROMS.
