Message From The Superintendent 5/1/2022
Posted on 05/01/2022

Summer is around the corner and our students and staff are preparing for the end of the 2021-22 school year. Throughout this year, we have remained committed to the needs of our students and families and approached our work with renewed optimism. As the Superintendent I am very proud of our district staff, and our volunteers and community groups who support us all year, regardless of the tough conditions we have all faced.

This is the final year of construction from the 2017 Bond that was passed by our community in November 2017. Churchill, Royal Oak Middle School, Northwood Elementary and our Maintenance & Transportation buildings will all see improvements this summer. Some work has already started on weekends and after-school hours. We are hopeful that we can plan community events for the fall so that the updates and improvements can be witnessed by all of you.

Our school district will also host summer school classes free of charge again this summer as we take advantage of the relief money awarded to schools. Those details are available on our website and registration is taking place now.

May is a great time for recognizing the accomplishments of our staff and students. Staff Appreciation is celebrated during the first week of May. Take a moment to drop a message to any and all staff who have supported you and your children this year. It is always nice to hear the good news stories of our wonderful community. I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation for all of the hard-working and caring staff we have in our district. I'm so fortunate to be surrounded by such talented individuals!
