Kindergarten 2025
Royal Oak Schools offers six neighborhood elementary schools, each with a high-quality kindergarten program designed to build strong foundations in reading, math, and problem-solving while fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child.
 
Inside each of our kindergarten classrooms, you will find welcoming spaces that are engaging and developmentally appropriate so we can help foster a love of learning in our students from day one.

ENROLLMENT

Kindergarten enrollment begins on Monday, February 2, 2026. All children who are five years of age on or before September 1 are eligible to enroll for the coming school year. You can use this map to find your assigned school. Our schools are located at the following addresses:

Addams Elementary, 2222 W. Webster Road
Keller Elementary, 1505 N. Campbell Road 
Northwood Elementary, 926 W. 12 Mile Road
Oakland Elementary, 2415 E Brockton Avenue
Oak Ridge Elementary, 506 E. 13 Mile Road
Upton Elementary, 4400 Mandalay Avenue


If your child will be enrolling as a non-resident, you are welcome to attend any elementary school's Kindergarten Information Night. More information about School of Choice is available here.

THINGS TO KNOW

  1. Michigan State Law stipulates that a child be five (5) years of age on or before September 1 in order to enroll in Kindergarten and Developmental Kindergarten. 
  2. If a child is not five years of age by September 1 but will be five years of age no later than December 1, parents must submit an age waiver at the time of enrollment.
