Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)

Procedures:

  • Fill out the MTSS form (instructions below) for each student staffed at a student study team meeting.
  • All sections of the form should be completed either during or immediately following the team meeting - The FOLLOW-Up section is to be completed at a scheduled later date.
  • This system is only for student's staffed by Royal Oak Schools student study teams.

Step 1: Enter the student's first name, the first initial of their last name, and their student number on the form listed on the MTSS STUDENT STUDY TEAM REPORT form. Then select the student's school, grade and the appropriate intervention tier from the following three menus.

Step 2: The classroom teacher/principal or designee fills in the first three topic sections, following collaborative planning with the study team members. The follow-up date is also scheduled at this time.

Step 3: Submit the Student Study Team Report upon completion. Access to the completed STUDENT STUDY TEAM REPORT can be obtained from the MTSS Report Summary page by clicking on the student's name to view details. The resulting Student Study Team Report Edit page, may be edited and Curriculum Coach Comments can be entered.

Notice: The teacher and principal will receive emails confirming the successful submission of an MTSS STUDENT STUDY TEAM REPORT entry. Upon entry of comments on the Student Study team Report Edit page from a curriculum coach, the teacher and principal (as well as other staff copied) will receive an email indicating that a particular student's MTSS Report has been updated.
