An opportunity to connect, reflect, and look ahead
Royal Oak Schools invites families, staff, and community members to attend the upcoming State of the Schools event on Tuesday, September 30, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. The event will take place in the Board Room at the Administrative Offices, located at 800 DeVillen in Royal Oak.
Hosted by Superintendent Dr. John Tafelski, this evening gathering will offer valuable updates on district priorities, highlight key moments from the start of the 2025–2026 school year, and provide a preview of future initiatives and goals that will continue to shape the district’s direction.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
-
Hear directly from district leadership
-
Learn about progress on strategic goals and student-focused programs
-
Ask questions and engage in meaningful dialogue
-
Better understand how Royal Oak Schools is living out its mission and vision
“This event is more than just a presentation—it’s a conversation,” said Dr. Tafelski. “It’s a chance for our community to connect, ask questions, and see how we are working together to build a student-first, inclusive, and growth-minded learning environment.”
Whether you're a parent, staff member, student, alum, or community partner, your involvement helps strengthen the work we do every day. All are welcome, and we look forward to sharing our progress and future plans with you.
Together, we continue to build a #ROSCommunityofExcellence.
