adult education - High School completion
Royal Oak's program for adults who wish to complete the requirements for a high school diploma (for students 16 years of age and older). Non-high school graduates who are not attending school during the day can take classes free of charge. Graduates and students who attend school during the day must pay a tuition fee of $250.00 for evening classes. High school students must bring a signed permission slip from their high school counselor.
Classes are offered in three terms starting in September, January and April. Seated courses are on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday evenings from 3 p.m. - 9:15 p.m. We also have a walk-in lab for our online courses that is available Monday - Thursday in the late afternoon/evening, please call for attendance policy.
Our High School Completion and GED programs are filled to capacity right now. Please fill out the Get Started Form to be added to our waiting list. If places do not open up by March 15, we will be accepting registrations for the 2021-22 school year on August 1, 2021. You will be contacted then to see if you still need a place in our program.
A mask is mandatory for entrance to the building. We will be screening people for illness.
If we are in Levels 1-3 on the MI Safe Start Plan, schools will closed and our registration will take place online and over the phone. Please come back to this website for more information if we move to a Level 3.
If we are in Levels 4-6 of the MI Safe Start Plan, schools will be open and registration will take place in person M-H from 3pm-7pm. Please do not come to the school if you have been exposed to the Coronavirus, feel sick, or have a fever.
