INTRODUCTION TO ART JOURNALING - Art Journaling is a fun and inspirational artistic class for people who want to explore their soul and creativity through study, meditation, and art exploration.   Each class will focus on a basic journaling technique and a basic art technique.  No artistic experience required.  BRING:  blank book or journal to first class - minimum size suggested is 5 X 7.  A supply list will be available from the instructor.

SPIRIT DOLL WORKSHOP -  You will create a Spirit Doll, a reflection of the intuitive nature that resides in us all.  Explore your inner strengths and character and build a doll to remind you of the wisdom you hold within.  No artistic talent or experience is necessary.  There is a $10.00 material fee payable to the instructor.

COMPLETE FLORAL DESIGN  - Learn to arrange flowers, make holiday decorations, and receive instructions in basic floral design, either for personal pleasure or beginning study of work in the floral industry.  An $8.00 to $12.00 weekly fee for flowers will be required and the floral arrangement will be taken home by the student.

INTRODUCTION TO MIXED MEDIA JEWELRY - You will learn how to create your own mixed media jewelry using found objects, recycled and repurposed materials, resin and collage.  You'll leave class with a gorgeous necklace of your own creation.  Great for beginners and experienced crafters alike.

BEGINNING KNITTING - New knitters will be introduced to knitting basics.  Students will learn three methods to cast on stitches, bind off stitches, sew a seam, as well as increasing and decreasing, and many other stitches.  Instruction prepares new knitter to read yarn labels, read a pattern, understand a yarn gauge, and make beginner level projects. There is a material fee of $40.00 which includes knitting bag, needles, yarn to make swatches, tape measure and tapestry needle, and is payable to the instructor.  Students receive a 10% discount on supplies for the duration of the semester.

KNITTING GOLF/SHORT CUFF SOCKS - Learn how to knit a pair of fine weight socks on one circular needle using the Magic Loop method from a material kit that includes self striping or solid colored yarn, pattern and a circular needle.  The sock will be knit with a short cuff suitable for golfing or sneaker wear.  The anatomy of sock knitting, sock stitches and the magic loop method will be taught in the first class to ensure success and ease.   PRE-REQUISITE:  Casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch and binding off.  There is a $35.00 materials fee payable the instructor.

SPINNING YARN ON A DROP SPINDLE - The new spinner makes a skein of double plied yarn using a Schacht Hi-Lo Spindle.  Basic concepts of the art of spinning, fiber preparation, and plying yarn are covered in class.  There is a $35.00 materials fee payable the instructor includes instructional book, "American made Spindle & Fiber".

KIDS COLORFUL HAT - The beginner knitter will learn how to knit a hat on a circular needle for a child using colorful self striping yarn.  There is a material fee of $20.00 payable to the instructor.  BRING:  #5 US sixteen inch circular needle to class..

INTRODUCTION TO ACRYLIC PAINTING - Here's the class for those who want to explore painting with acrylics, meet new people and spend a relaxing evening.  You'll learn how to start a picture an work through to a finished painting.  We'll look at the work of other artists, talk about contemporary art and listen to good music.  Join us, you'll be glad you did.

BEGINNING MOSAIC DIRECT METHOD - Have a good time and create your own mosaic that's a cut above the rest.  Select between a picture frame, address plaque, or lazy susan for your project.  Students will learn the basic principles of this ancient art form.   Glass and tile cutting and safety will be emphasized as well as material choices, design options and unique ideas for future projects.  Students can expect to spend approximately $85.00 for tools and materials.

MOSAIC STEPPING STONE - Step into spring with your own mosaic garden stone!  Select shape, size, and style for your individual project.  The concrete method of pouring stones will be demonstrated.  Students will be taught step-by-step, from cutting and layout of glass to pouring.  Choose patterns and materials to match your skill level.  Students new to mosaic can expect to spend approximately $85.00 for tools and materials.

SAVVY GUIDE TO BEADING - Learn the basics of beading in class.  Create fabulous jewelry only limited by your imagination.  Learn basics of design and color choice along with crimping and how to make unique charms.  No previous experience is necessary.  Kits are available in class starting at $5.00 and tools are available to purchase or borrow.
