UPTON OWLS!!! |
Recently, I sent home two forms for you to complete and send back to school. One was on a bright green paper asking if your child was returning next school year. The second was a pink paper asking for information for us to consider for next year's classroom placement. Please take the time to complete these forms. They will be very helpful in making classroom assignments for next school year.

Last week, Shawn Lewis-Lakin had the privilege of presenting the first "State of the Schools" address. This was an opportunity to celebrate the successes and talk about the challenges we share as a learning community.
Spring is a busy time of year, and we've heard from many of you regarding other events that prevented you from attending the "State of the Schools" presentation. We are committed to doing a better job on scheduling next year so as to avoid conflicts.
Fortunately, the presentation was taped. You may view it on the district's cable television station, WOAK, or by accessing the archived video which is available at the following web address:
http://www.royaloakschools.com/portal/woak/vod
The slides used during the presentation are available at: http://www.royaloakschools.com/portal/overthefence
Thank you for supporting your community governed schools. Please feel free to send Shawn feedback (lewis-lakins@royaloakschools.com) after viewing the presentation.
