Free and Reduced Lunch and Breakfast Applications
The enrollment period for free and reduced school lunch and breakfast programs has begun in the Royal Oak School District. Low-income families can now contact the District Food Service Director or principals to submit an application for free and reduced meals. As family eligibility can change during the year, parents should be aware that applications for free and reduced meals can be submitted at anytime throughout the school year. It should be emphasized that information provided in the application is strictly confidential.
The District believes that nutritious meals are an important part of a student's day. And as a result, hot and cold breakfast and a full service lunch are available each school day at all buildings. "In the current economic conditions, many families have been impacted and experience significant challenges in balancing the family budget. The free and reduced breakfast and lunch program helps families make the most of their resources by helping bridge the financial gap and make school meals affordable," said Thomas Moline, Superintendent.
