The Churchill Community Education Center is an authorized GED® (General Education Development) test center. An exam is administered monthly. The GED certificate is granted by the Michigan Department of Education.
Starting on January 2, 2014, the GED test and format were changed. There will be a new GED® test. You will have to start over with the new test in all subject areas regardless of whether or not you passed sections of the old test.
To take the GED Test you must log into www.ged.com to create an account. After you complete the registration questions, you will receive a message confirming the registration is complete.
Once the registration process is complete, the portal determines whether you are authorized to take the test. You cannot schedule the test unless you already have an authorization record in the database.
Once registration requirements are met, you must schedule the test through a single sign on at www.ged.com
To be eligible to test you must:
- be 18 years of age or older
- your high school class must have graduated.
- To test sooner requires a waiver signed by the Superintendent of your school district of residence. Please call their office for additional information.
